Yes, it’s true. I started this blog on Blogspot, moved to WordPress, and am migrating back to Blogspot again. Why? Truth be told, WordPress is a great blogging platform and I was pleasantly surprised at first that it was so user-friendly. However, the fees I have to pay just to customize my own blog’s layout are a little ridiculous. On top of that, I’d need to pay even more ridiculous fees just to be self-hosted.
I know, I should have researched all this prior to moving here because even months ago I knew I wanted my own domain and a fully customized and personal layout. But I guess my issues with Blogspot at the time just frustrated me too much and I was desperate to jump ship. The days of downtime, of not being able to make a new post for days because certain parts of the site wouldn’t load properly, etc. These issues no longer seem to exist anymore (I’ve got my fingers crossed), or they at least don’t occur as frequently so I decided to finally make the move back. I hope you all understand my decision and I’m glad many of you have been patient with my constant back and forth transition from blogging platform to blogging platform. If you’re a fellow blogger yourself, I’m sure you can understand where I’m coming from.
Good news though, I did finally purchase my own domain! It was initially a bit of a nightmare setting it up, but I’m glad I had great help with the domain’s tech support. I’ve already e-mailed Bloglovin’s own tech support so I’m just going to wait for them to officially change my URL on there as well to my new one. Hopefully it doesn’t take longer than 3 days like last time!
Well, I’m still giddy over the fact that I finally have a domain of my own and it’s one step in a continuous process to improving both my blog and myself as a blogger. So without further ado, I hope you all can start visiting me from now on over at…
